About me.
I find meaning in solving problems and learning new things. The set of problems I enjoy solving most are narrative puzzles—how to create stories that move people, that help them understand themselves and their lives in new way.
Stories, like any other craft, operate by their own internal laws. I’ve spent the better part of the last decade trying to figure out how those laws work. A lot of my articles, personal essays, and stories are the byproduct of trying to work my way through how stories work, why they work, and how to make mine better.
